Why it matters

When rating and real stakes are at play, a dice roll cannot be a black box. Taj Gammon never relies on ordinary randomness that could be guessed, nor on a hidden process that could be quietly nudged. Instead, each match is bound by a sealed promise that can be checked after the game — by you.

The sealed promise

At the moment your match begins, the server locks in a secret value and hands you a tamper-proof seal of it — think of it as a wax seal on a sealed envelope. You receive the seal before the first roll.

• Because of the seal, the outcome of the match is already fixed and committed — the house cannot change its mind later.
• Because the envelope stays closed during play, neither side can read the future.

You may also add your own signature to the mix before the first roll, so the rolls can never be something the house arranged on its own.

The reveal

When the match ends, the sealed envelope is opened: the secret value is revealed. At that point anyone can confirm two things:

• The revealed value matches the seal you were shown at the start — proof it was never swapped.
• Every roll of the match follows directly from it — proof the dice were genuine.

If even one die had been altered, the seal would no longer match. It never will.

Verify any match
